Ingredients
- 1.50 oz Tequila Don Julio Reposado
- 0.30 oz buñuelo syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 1 dash chocolate mole bitters
- 4 cups sugar
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 tsp lemon juice
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 vanilla bean
- 2 star anise
Instructions
- For the buñuelo syrup, bring cinnamon, vanilla, and star anise to a boil in 2 cups of water on high heat for 10 minutes.
- Add sugar and stir until dissolved, then lower heat and let simmer for 1 minute.
- Strain the syrup into a large container, add lemon juice, and let it cool.
- For the cocktail, combine Tequila Don Julio Reposado, buñuelo syrup, Angostura bitters, and chocolate mole bitters into an old-fashioned glass with ice.
- Stir well and garnish with an orange and lemon twist.
