Ingredients

  • 4 oz apple eau-de-vie (such as Neversink)
  • 2 tsp malic acid
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 oz water
  • 1 3/4 oz apple eau-de-vie (such as Neversink)
  • 3/4 oz pear eau-de-vie (such as Clear Creek)
  • 3/4 oz Lillet Blanc
  • 3/4 tsp verjus (such as Wolffer Estate)
  • 3/4 tsp malic acid eau-de-vie
  • 3/4 tsp 2-to-1 simple syrup
  • Edible apple blossom flower (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine apple eau-de-vie and malic acid; stir until the malic acid is fully dissolved.
  2. Make the simple syrup: Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan. Cook over medium-high heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves, about 2 minutes. Let it cool completely for about 30 minutes.
  3. In a cocktail mixing glass, pour the apple eau-de-vie, pear eau-de-vie, Lillet Blanc, verjus, malic acid eau-de-vie, and 2-to-1 simple syrup. Fill the glass nearly to the top with ice cubes.
  4. Stir the mixture until well combined and chilled, allowing the ice to slightly melt, for about 20 seconds.
  5. Strain the cocktail into a Nick and Nora cocktail glass.
  6. Garnish with an edible apple blossom flower.
