Ingredients

  • 1/2 apricot (from canned with juices, diced)
  • 1 oz apricot juice (from the can)
  • 2 to 3 fresh basil leaves (plus more for garnish)
  • 1 oz orange liqueur (triple sec, Cointreau, Gran Marnier)
  • 4 oz wine (sparkling, ramato or white wine)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker or small pitcher, muddle half of the diced apricot, 1 oz canned apricot juice, and 2 to 3 basil leaves.
  2. Add the orange liqueur and wine, then stir to combine.
  3. Put some ice cubes in a wine glass and add the remaining diced apricot.
  4. Pour the sangria over the ice and apricot in the glass.
  5. Garnish with a sprig of basil or a basil leaf.
