Ingredients
- 1/2 cinnamon stick
- 1/3 honeycrisp apple, chopped
- 2-3 orange slices
- 5 oz red wine (light-bodied Spanish variety)
- 3 oz apple cider
- 1 oz brandy
- 1/2 oz orange juice
- juice from 1/2 lemon
- splash of club soda
- ice
Instructions
- Place the cinnamon stick, chopped honeycrisp apple, and orange slices in a large pitcher.
- Add the red wine, apple cider, brandy, orange juice, and lemon juice to the pitcher.
- Allow the mixture to sit in the refrigerator for 6 to 24 hours.
- If a sweeter taste is desired, add 1-2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, honey, or agave.
- Moisten the rim of the serving glass and dip it into a mix of cinnamon and sugar for a cinnamon-sugar rim (optional but recommended).
- Pour the sangria into the glass over the fruit and add a splash of club soda.
