Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup pomegranate arils
  • 1/4 cup blackberries
  • 1/4 large apple, thinly sliced
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 cinnamon stick
  • 2 oz Calvados
  • 5 oz red wine (Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, or Merlot)
  • 1/4 cup chilled club soda (optional)

Instructions

  1. Place the pomegranate arils, blackberries, thinly sliced apple, honey, and cinnamon stick in a pitcher.
  2. Pour the Calvados and red wine over the fruit mixture and stir well.
  3. Refrigerate the sangria for at least an hour or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
