Ingredients
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 cup chopped rhubarb (approx. 1 inch pieces)
- 1/2 bottle berry kombucha
- 1/2 cup rosé
- 1/2 cup halved strawberries
- 1/4 cup chopped rhubarb (approx. 1 inch pieces)
- 2 lime slices
- mint for garnish
- small rhubarb stalk for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium-sized pot, combine sugar, water, and 1 cup chopped rhubarb. Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Place a strainer over a bowl and pour the mixture through the strainer to separate the liquid from the solids. Save the strained rhubarb, as it can be used as a delicious jam-like topping for yogurt, oats, or toast.
- In a pitcher, mix the berry kombucha, rosé, and the rhubarb simple syrup.
- Refrigerate the sangria mixture or add the strawberries, remaining rhubarb, and lime slices just before serving.
- Pour the sangria into ice-filled glasses and garnish with mint and a small rhubarb stalk. Sip and enjoy!
