Ingredients
- 1.50 oz blackberries
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tbsp water
- 2 oz tequila
- 1 oz orange liqueur
- 1 oz lime juice
- 1 oz blackberry syrup
- Blackberries and lime wedge (for garnish)
- Ice
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, heat the blackberries, sugar, and water over medium-high heat.
- Simmer on low for 10 minutes, avoiding boiling. Remove from heat and mash the blackberries with a fork or potato masher.
- Strain the mixture through a mesh strainer into a bowl, pressing the solids to extract as much syrup as possible. Refrigerate until cool.
- In a pitcher or carafe filled with 2 cups of ice, combine the blackberry syrup, tequila, orange liqueur, and lime juice. Stir to chill thoroughly.
- Moisten the rim of a glass with a lime wedge, then dip it into a combination of sugar and salt.
