Ingredients

  • For the Spiked Whipped Cream (optional):
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1/2 tablespoon Gran Classico
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
  • For the Spiked Coffee:
  • 1 ounce Averna
  • 1/2 ounce bourbon
  • 1/2 ounce high-quality crème de cacao
  • 1/4 ounce Gran Classico
  • 4 ounces hot coffee

Instructions

  1. If using, whip the cream, Gran Classico, and sugar together until stiff peaks form.
  2. Preheat two small mugs with boiling water and then empty them.
  3. In a measuring cup, mix Averna, bourbon, crème de cacao, and Gran Classico.
  4. Divide the bourbon mixture evenly between the mugs.
  5. Add hot coffee to each mug and stir well.
  6. Top with whipped cream, if desired.
