This cocktail combines bourbon-spiked coffee with the bittersweet flavors of Amaro Averna and Gran Classico for a rich and captivating drink.
Ingredients
- For the Spiked Whipped Cream (optional):
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/2 tablespoon Gran Classico
- 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
- For the Spiked Coffee:
- 1 ounce Averna
- 1/2 ounce bourbon
- 1/2 ounce high-quality crème de cacao
- 1/4 ounce Gran Classico
- 4 ounces hot coffee
Instructions
- If using, whip the cream, Gran Classico, and sugar together until stiff peaks form.
- Preheat two small mugs with boiling water and then empty them.
- In a measuring cup, mix Averna, bourbon, crème de cacao, and Gran Classico.
- Divide the bourbon mixture evenly between the mugs.
- Add hot coffee to each mug and stir well.
- Top with whipped cream, if desired.
