Ingredients

  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 1/4 cup Heavy Cream
  • 2 tbsp Whole Milk
  • 1.50 oz Vanilla ice cream
  • 1 tbsp Jamaican Dark Rum
  • 1 tbsp Bourbon
  • 1 tbsp Dark Brown Sugar
  • 1/4 tsp Vanilla
  • Pinch of Nutmeg
  • Pinch of Cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Separate the egg, setting aside the yolk.
  2. In a mixing bowl, whisk the egg yolk and brown sugar until creamy.
  3. In a saucepan, heat the whole milk and heavy cream until lightly steaming.
  4. Slowly pour the warm milk mixture into the egg yolk, whisking until smooth.
  5. Add the rum, bourbon, vanilla, spices, and vanilla ice cream to the mixture, then whisk for 2 minutes.
  6. Strain the mixture into a serving glass or pitcher and chill for at least 2 hours before serving. Serve cold.
