Ingredients

  • 1 orange (halved)
  • 1 lemon (halved)
  • 2 blood oranges (halved)
  • 1/2 cup beet juice
  • 2 oz vodka
  • 2 oz citrus beet juice
  • 4 oz tonic
  • ice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to high broil.
  2. Place the halved orange, lemon, and blood oranges on a baking sheet and char them in the oven for 7-10 minutes.
  3. Allow the charred citrus to cool, then squeeze out the juice from the halves to obtain 1/2 cup of juice.
  4. Mix the beet juice with the citrus juice and chill the mixture in the fridge.
  5. In a shaker with ice, combine the vodka and citrus beet juice. Shake well.
  6. Pour the mixture over ice in an 8oz. glass and top with tonic.
  7. Stir and serve.
