Ingredients

  • Kosher salt (for rimming the glass)
  • 1/4 cup pitted fresh cherries
  • Ice cubes
  • 1 1/2 oz gold tequila
  • 1/2 oz Cointreau or triple sec
  • 2 oz tart cherry juice
  • Juice of 3/4 lime
  • 1/2 Tbsp agave nectar

Instructions

  1. Rim a glass with lime juice and kosher salt.
  2. Place the pitted fresh cherries in the glass and muddle them until crushed.
  3. Add ice cubes to the glass.
  4. In a cocktail shaker, combine the gold tequila, Cointreau, tart cherry juice, lime juice, and agave nectar.
  5. Shake well and taste to adjust the sweetness if needed.
