Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 0.50 oz strawberry Jell-O powder (or half of a 3 oz package)
  • 1 cup pineapple juice (from a can)
  • 1 1/2 tbsp fresh lemon juice (about 1/2 large lemon)
  • 1 cup pulp-free orange juice
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda (chilled)

Instructions

  1. In a large stainless steel pot, bring the sugar, water, and Jell-O to a boil and let it simmer for 3 minutes.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the pineapple juice, lemon juice, and orange juice.
  3. Divide the mixture into a large freezer bag, seal it, and lay it flat in the freezer overnight.
  4. When ready to serve, transfer the frozen juice to the refrigerator 2 to 5 hours before serving.
  5. Combine half of the frozen juice with the chilled soda in a large punch bowl.
  6. Use a fork to flake the ice into a slushy consistency, if needed.
  7. Repeat the process with the remaining juice and soda as needed.
