Ingredients
- 4-6 medium-sized cinnamon sticks
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 oz. vodka
- 1/2 oz. apple brandy or Calvados
- 1/2 oz. apple juice
- 1/2 oz. toasted cinnamon syrup
- 3/4 oz. fresh lemon juice
- Fresh apple slice or dehydrated apple chip, for garnish
Instructions
- To make the toasted cinnamon syrup, toast the cinnamon sticks in a dry pot until fragrant, then add water and sugar. Simmer for 15 minutes, then steep until deeply flavorful.
- Remove and discard the cinnamon sticks from the syrup.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the vodka, apple brandy, apple juice, 1/2 ounce cinnamon syrup, and lemon juice.
- Shake the mixture well, then strain it into a chilled martini glass or coupe.
- Garnish with a fresh apple slice or dehydrated apple chip, and serve immediately.
