Ingredients
- 1 2/3 cups coconut milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 3 oz. alcohol 95% or 151 proof grain alcohol (or 4 oz. Vodka)
- 5 tbsp desiccated coconut
- 2 tsp coconut essence
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the coconut milk, heavy cream, desiccated coconut, sugar, and milk. Heat the mixture on the stovetop until the sugar has completely melted.
- Allow the mixture to cool, then chill it thoroughly in the refrigerator.
- Once chilled, add the alcohol and coconut essence to the mixture, and mix thoroughly.
- Strain the liqueur through a sieve and transfer it to a bottle.
- Store the liqueur in the refrigerator for a few days, shaking well before serving.
