Coconut Spice Delight
Coquito is a creamy, coconut-infused rum punch with hints of cinnamon and nutmeg, making it a perfect festive indulgence for the holidays.
Ingredients
- 1 oz white rum, plus more for serving
- 1 oz coconut water
- 1 tbsp cream of coconut
- 1 tbsp sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tbsp evaporated milk
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1/8 tsp ground nutmeg
Instructions
- In a saucepan, simmer the coconut water, cinnamon stick, and nutmeg for 20 minutes. Strain the mixture to remove the solids and let it cool.
- In a blender, combine the cooled coconut water with the remaining ingredients and blend at high speed for 1-2 minutes until thoroughly mixed and lightly frothy.
- Bottle the mixture and refrigerate it for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to meld.
- When ready to serve, add the coquito mix and additional rum to taste. Shake vigorously without ice, for up to 3 servings at a time.
- Strain the mixture into a mug or rocks glass and garnish with a sprinkling of ground cinnamon or a cinnamon stick.
