Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 1/2 cup 80-proof bourbon
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. In a microwave-safe dish, combine water, sugar, and salt. Microwave on high for 3 minutes, then stir until sugar dissolves.
  2. Blend the sugar syrup with the cranberries until smooth, then strain the mixture through cheesecloth to extract the liquid. Discard the solids.
  3. Combine the cranberry mixture, bourbon, and lemon juice in a freezer-safe bowl, stirring well.
