Cranberry Bourbon Slush
A tangy and not-too-sweet frozen cocktail with cranberries, bourbon, and a hint of lemon.
Ingredients
- 3 tablespoons water
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- Pinch of salt
- 1/2 cup fresh cranberries
- 1 2/3 tablespoons 80-proof bourbon
- 3/4 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
Instructions
- Combine water, sugar, and salt in a microwave-safe dish, then microwave on HIGH for 3 minutes. Stir until sugar dissolves.
- Blend the sugar syrup and cranberries until smooth.
- Strain the mixture through a sieve lined with cheesecloth over a bowl to extract the liquid. Discard solids.
- Combine the cranberry mixture, bourbon, and lemon juice in a freezer-safe bowl, stirring well.
- Freeze the mixture overnight or until partially frozen.
- Scrape the mixture with a fork until slushy, then serve immediately.
