Ingredients

  • 2/3 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 (3.2 ounce) bars Chocolove 70% dark chocolate
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 ounces vodka
  • 1/2 ounce creme de cacao
  • 1 1/2 ounces dark chocolate fudge sauce, plus extra for drizzling inside the glass
  • 3 tablespoons chocolate malt powder
  • 2 ounces half and half
  • Dash of chocolate bitters
  • Crushed chocolate malted milk balls for rimming the glass

Instructions

  1. Begin by preparing the chocolate fudge sauce. In a medium saucepan, combine heavy cream, corn syrup, brown sugar, salt, and half of the chocolate. Bring to a gentle boil and simmer until the chocolate has melted.
  2. Remove from heat and add the remaining chocolate, butter, and vanilla. Stir until all the chocolate has melted, then set aside to cool completely.
  3. For the cocktails, rim the glass first in the dark chocolate fudge sauce and then in the crushed malted milk balls. Drizzle some chocolate fudge sauce inside the glass and fill it with crushed ice.
  4. In a cocktail shaker with a few ice cubes, combine vodka, creme de cacao, dark chocolate fudge sauce, chocolate malt powder, half and half, and chocolate bitters. Shake well for 20-30 seconds.
  5. Pour the cocktail into the prepared glass and savor the decadent delight!
