Ingredients
- 3 1/2 tbsp golden caster sugar
- ice
- 2 oz vodka
- 1 oz freshly brewed espresso coffee
- 1/2 oz coffee liqueur (Kahlua)
- 4 coffee beans (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Begin by preparing the sugar syrup. Place the caster sugar in a small pan over medium heat and add 3 1/2 tbsp of water. Stir and bring to a boil.
- Turn off the heat and allow the sugar syrup to cool. Chill a martini glass in the refrigerator.
- Once the sugar syrup has cooled, pour 1 tbsp into a cocktail shaker along with a handful of ice, the vodka, espresso, and coffee liqueur.
- Shake the mixture until the exterior of the shaker feels icy cold.
- Strain the cocktail into the chilled glass and garnish with coffee beans if desired.
