Ingredients

• 1 1/2 oz bourbon
• 1/2 oz simple syrup
• Juice from 1/2 lemon
• 1 oz cabernet sauvignon
• Optional: garnishes
• Ice

Instructions

1. Fill a shaker with ice.
2. Pour 1 1/2 oz of bourbon into the shaker.
3. Add 1/2 oz of simple syrup.
4. Squeeze the juice from 1/2 a lemon into the shaker.
5. Vigorously shake the ingredients in the shaker.
6. Pour the mixture with ice into a rocks glass. If using a large ice ball, strain the liquid from the shaker and pour over the ball.
7. Add a cabernet floater to the top of the cocktail (1/2 to 1 ounce, depending on your preference).
8. Add optional garnishes and enjoy!
