Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz bourbon
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • Juice from 1/2 lemon
  • 1 oz cabernet sauvignon
  • Optional: garnishes
  • Ice

Instructions

  1. Fill a shaker with ice.
  2. Pour in 1 1/2 oz of bourbon.
  3. Add 1/2 oz of simple syrup.
  4. Squeeze in the juice from 1/2 a lemon.
  5. Shake vigorously.
  6. Pour with ice into a rocks glass. If using a large ice ball, strain the liquid from the shaker and pour over the ball.
  7. Add a cabernet floater to the top of the cocktail (1/2 to 1 ounce, depending on your preference).
  8. Add garnishes and enjoy!
