Ingredients
- 1/4 sweet tart apple, thinly sliced
- 1/4 orange, halved and thinly sliced
- 1/4 lime, halved and thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons cranberries
- 1-2 teaspoons brown sugar, to taste
- 1/3 cup pomegranate juice
- 2 tablespoons Grand Marnier, plus more to taste
- 5 oz dry, fruity red wine
- Cinnamon stick, for garnish
Instructions
- Place the apple, orange, lime, and cranberries in the bottom of a large pitcher.
- Sprinkle the brown sugar over the fruits, then gently muddle the brown sugar with the fruit until dissolved, for about 30 seconds to 1 minute.
- Pour in the pomegranate juice, Grand Marnier, and red wine. Stir well to combine. Chill for at least 2 hours or overnight.
- Serve in a glass with a cinnamon stick for garnish. Use a long spoon to serve the fruit, or alternatively, remove the fruit to a bowl for guests to add to their glasses as desired. The sangria will last, refrigerated, for several days.
