Ingredients

  • 5 oz rose wine
  • 2 large oranges
  • 2.50 tbsp caster sugar
  • 2 tbsp vodka
  • 1.50 tbsp brandy

Instructions

  1. Peel the two oranges and dry the peels.
  2. Chop the other two oranges and place them, along with the dried peels and juice, into a large wide-mouthed jar.
  3. Add the rose wine to the jar and cover it. Allow it to sit in a cool cupboard for 3 weeks.
  4. After 3 weeks, strain out the solids, pour back into the jar, and add the sugar, vodka, and brandy.
  5. Cover the jar and shake it daily for a week to dissolve the sugar.
  6. Strain the mixture through muslin into a jug, and then pour it into a pretty bottle or decanter.
  7. Serve the Vin D'Orange ice-cold and enjoy the delightful citrusy flavors.
