Ingredients
- 2 large tomatoes (cut into quarters)
- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1 tablespoon pickle juice (or caper juice)
- 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- A pinch of dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon hickory smoked sea salt
- A pinch of ground black pepper
- 3 ounces homemade Bloody Mary mix
- 1.50 ounces vodka (Tito's recommended)
- Garnishes: olives, pickles, lime, celery, green onions, pearled onions
Instructions
- Place tomatoes, basil, pickle or caper juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper in a soup pot.
- Bring to medium-low heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until tomatoes cook down and become tender.
- Use an immersion blender to blend the mixture until smooth.
- Chill the mixture in the refrigerator until cold before using.
- In a glass with ice, combine vodka and homemade Bloody Mary mix and stir to combine.
- Garnish with desired condiments and serve.
