Ingredients

  • 2 large tomatoes (cut into quarters)
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
  • 1 tablespoon pickle juice (or caper juice)
  • 1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • A pinch of dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon hickory smoked sea salt
  • A pinch of ground black pepper
  • 3 ounces homemade Bloody Mary mix
  • 1.50 ounces vodka (Tito's recommended)
  • Garnishes: olives, pickles, lime, celery, green onions, pearled onions

Instructions

  1. Place tomatoes, basil, pickle or caper juice, hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce, oregano, salt, and pepper in a soup pot.
  2. Bring to medium-low heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes, until tomatoes cook down and become tender.
  3. Use an immersion blender to blend the mixture until smooth.
  4. Chill the mixture in the refrigerator until cold before using.
  5. In a glass with ice, combine vodka and homemade Bloody Mary mix and stir to combine.
  6. Garnish with desired condiments and serve.
