Holi Herb Infusion
A sweet and creamy cannabis-infused drink, inspired by the Holi festival, with floral and aromatic notes.
Ingredients
- 1/2 g dried cannabis
- 2 cups whole milk, divided
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. raw almonds
- 1 tsp. rose water
- 1/2 tsp. fennel seeds
- 1/2 tsp. ground cardamom
- 1/4 tsp. ground turmeric
- 1/4 tsp. kosher salt
- 8 black peppercorns
- Dried rose petals (for serving)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 225°F.
- Spread the dried cannabis in a single layer on a parchment-lined baking sheet and bake for 14-16 minutes until fragrant and lightly toasted.
- Transfer the toasted cannabis to a blender and add 1 cup of whole milk, sugar, raw almonds, rose water, fennel seeds, ground cardamom, ground turmeric, kosher salt, and black peppercorns.
- Blend until the mixture is frothy and smooth, for about 30 seconds.
- Add the remaining 1 cup of whole milk and blend again until the sugar is dissolved, for about 30 seconds.
- Transfer the mixture to a small saucepan and bring to a simmer over low heat, for about 3 minutes. Let it cool.
- Divide the prepared mixture among 8 small glasses filled with ice and top with dried rose petals.
