Holiday Rush Mulled Wine
A time-saving take on classic Glögg, this Holiday Rush Mulled Wine is a delightful blend of apple cider, red wine, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, and aromatic spices.
Ingredients
- 6 oz apple cider
- 2 oz dry red wine
- 1 tbsp pure maple syrup
- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar
- 2 tsp chopped dried orange peel
- 1 tsp chopped dried ginger root
- 1 tsp chopped cinnamon chips
- 2 whole cloves
- 2 whole allspice berries
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, combine apple cider, red wine, maple syrup, balsamic vinegar, dried orange peel, ginger root, cinnamon chips, cloves, and allspice berries.
- Heat the mixture gently and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat, cover, and let it steep for another 5 minutes.
- Strain off the spices and pour the warm mulled wine into a mug.
- Garnish with orange and/or apple slices.
