Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 4 ounces hot coffee
  • 1 1/2 ounces Irish whiskey (preferably Tullamore Dew)
  • Lightly whipped heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Fill an Irish Coffee glass with hot water and then discard the water.
  2. Drop in the sugar and add the hot coffee, stirring to dissolve the sugar.
  3. Add the Irish whiskey and stir again.
  4. Gently ladle a collar of lightly whipped cream to float on top of the drink.
