A comforting Irish Coffee with a silky cinnamon cream topping, perfect for cozy evenings or festive brunch gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp instant coffee (decaf or regular)
- 1 tsp granulated sugar
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 cup boiling water
- 2 Tbsp Irish whiskey
- 2 cups Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Instructions
- In a stand mixer, pour 2 cups of cold heavy cream and whisk on medium-high speed until thickened, but not to the point of forming peaks, for about 2 minutes.
- Add 1 tsp of ground cinnamon to the thickened cream and whisk for an additional minute.
- In a 12 oz coffee mug, combine instant coffee, granulated sugar, brown sugar, and boiling water, stirring well.
- Add 2 Tbsp of Irish whiskey to the coffee mixture and give it a gentle stir.
- Top the coffee with 2 Tbsp of the prepared cinnamon cream, allowing it to settle on top.
