Ingredients

  • 5 oz medium-bodied Italian red wine (e.g. Chianti)
  • 1/4 large navel orange
  • 2/3 oz limoncello
  • 1/3 oz Campari
  • 1/3 oz triple sec
  • 1/6 oz simple syrup (or more to taste)
  • Angostura bitters
  • Orange wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. Cut a slice from the middle of the orange and muddle it in the bottom of a large pitcher.
  2. Juice the remainder of the orange and add it to the pitcher along with the wine, limoncello, Campari, triple sec, and simple syrup. Stir to combine.
  3. Chill the sangria for at least 4 hours to allow the flavors to blend.
  4. Pour over ice and add 2 dashes of bitters to the glass. Garnish with an orange wedge.
