Ingredients
- 1/2 teaspoon dried lavender
- 1/4 cup fresh basil (roughly chopped + more for garnish)
- 1-2 tablespoons honey OR coconut and or granulated sugar*
- 1 cup water
- 1/4 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice
- ice (for serving)
Instructions
- In a small saucepan, bring the dried lavender and 1/2 cup of water to a boil. If using coconut or granulated sugar, add it to the water. Remove from heat and add the basil, then cover and let it steep for 10 minutes.
- Squeeze the lemon juice into a tall glass pitcher and stir in the honey (unless sugar was added earlier). Then, stir in 1/2 cup water.
- Once the basil has steeped, strain the mixture into the pitcher with the lemon juice. Stir well and adjust sweetness to taste by adding more honey or water.
- Chill the lemonade in the fridge until cold.
- To serve, pour the lemonade over a glass of crushed ice. Garnish with lavender and basil. Enjoy!
