Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon water
- 1 tablespoon lavender leaves
- 3/4 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup blackberries, halved
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 ounces apple brandy
- 1/2 ounce dry vermouth
- 4 ounces blackberry lavender shrub
- 1/2 ounce simple syrup
- 1/4 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
Instructions
- To prepare the shrub, combine blackberries, sugar, and lavender leaves in an airtight container, then mash until the berries are fully broken down and the sugar forms a thick paste.
- Add water and apple cider vinegar, stir until the sugar is dissolved, then seal the container and refrigerate for 2 days.
- After 2 days, strain the mixture, discard the berries and lavender leaves, and store the liquid in a clean sealed container in the fridge for up to 3 weeks.
- To make the cocktail, add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice, shake until chilled, then strain into a cocktail coupe.
