Ingredients
- 1 cup whole milk
- Seeds from 1/4 vanilla pod
- 1 tbsp cacao nibs
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1/2 tbsp freshly coarse-ground coffee
- 2 oz Irish whiskey
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Sterilize a reusable glass bottle and cap by boiling it in hot water.
- In a small saucepan, gently simmer the milk, vanilla seeds, and cacao nibs for 30 minutes.
- Strain the mixture and return it to the pan. Add sugar and salt, then gently simmer until reduced by about half.
- Add the coffee to the milk mixture, stir well, and let rest for 5 minutes. Then strain the liquid and let it cool completely.
- Stir the whiskey into the milk mixture.
- Pour the mixture into a blender and slowly pour in the cream while blending for 20 seconds.
- Pour the finished Irish cream into the sterilized bottle and seal it. Chill in the fridge until cold.
