Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 oz citrus vodka (e.g., Charbay Meyer Lemon Vodka)
  • 1/2 oz St. Germain elderflower liqueur
  • 1 oz Meyer lemon juice
  • 1/2 oz Meyer lemon peel syrup
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 dash orange bitters
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 Meyer lemon

Instructions

  1. In a mixing glass, add the egg white and shake vigorously for 10 seconds without ice.
  2. Fill the mixing glass with ice, then add the citrus vodka, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, Meyer lemon juice, Meyer lemon peel syrup, and a dash of orange bitters.
  3. Shake the mixture vigorously for 30 seconds.
  4. Double strain the cocktail into a sour glass.
  5. Garnish with fresh Meyer lemon zest.
  6. To make Meyer lemon peel syrup, peel and cut one Meyer lemon into 1/2-inch strips.
  7. In a small saucepan over medium heat, dissolve granulated sugar in water, bring to a simmer, and add the Meyer lemon peel strips.
  8. Let the syrup simmer for 2 minutes, then remove from heat and let it come to room temperature before removing the lemon strips.
