Mimosa Slushy Surprise
Boozy and slushy mimosa sorbet topped with champagne, perfect for special occasions.
Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup orange marmalade
- Zest from 2 large oranges
- 1 cup fresh squeezed orange juice (about 2 large oranges)
- 3 tablespoons lemon juice
- Champagne
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, combine water, sugar, marmalade, and orange zest. Heat over medium heat until it bubbles, then simmer for 5 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool completely.
- Mix in the orange and lemon juice, then process in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturer's directions.
- Transfer the sorbet to a container and freeze until set.
- Scoop the sorbet into champagne flutes and pour champagne over the top.
- Serve immediately.
