Ingredients
- 1.50 oz chai-infused rye whiskey
- 1 oz apple cider
- 3/4 oz cinnamon simple syrup
- 1/2 oz lemon juice
- 1 pinch fresh grated nutmeg
Instructions
- Infuse the rye whiskey by mixing 1 tablespoon of loose chai tea leaves into a 750ml bottle of rye whiskey. Allow it to sit for several hours before straining out the tea and returning the whiskey to the bottle.
- Prepare the cinnamon simple syrup by combining 1 cinnamon stick, 1 cup of sugar, and 1 cup of water in a pot. Warm the mixture on the stove until the sugar has dissolved, then refrigerate until cool.
- In a cocktail shaker over ice, combine the chai-infused rye whiskey, apple cider, cinnamon simple syrup, and lemon juice.
- Shake the mixture for 10-15 seconds.
- Pour the cocktail into a rocks glass over a large ice cube.
