Ingredients
- 5 dried apricots, coarsely chopped or 4 canned apricots
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 1/2 oz Grand Marnier or 1 1/2 oz Cointreau liqueur
- Juice of 1 large orange
- 1 oz heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/2 oz coconut milk
- 1 1/2 oz white rum
- 1/2 oz golden rum
- 1 dash of Angostura bitters (optional)
- Orange ring garnish
Instructions
- In a small pot over low heat, combine chopped apricots, brown sugar, 1 oz of Grand Marnier, and 5 tbsp of orange juice. Simmer until thick and syrupy, stirring frequently for 8-10 minutes.
- Strain the syrup mixture, pressing with a spoon to release all the liquid.
- In a cocktail shaker filled with ice or using two glasses, combine the syrup solution, whipping cream, coconut milk, rums, remaining 1/2 oz of Grand Marnier, and 3 oz of fresh squeezed orange juice. Add a dash of bitters.
- Shake vigorously and strain into a martini glass.
- Garnish with an orange ring and serve. Enjoy!
