Peligroso Spice-infused Daiquiri
A bold and complex cocktail featuring rum, Campari, Averna, and a homemade spiced syrup, balanced with lime juice and Angostura bitters.
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz. rum
- 1/2 oz. Campari
- 1/2 oz. Averna
- 3/4 oz. fresh lime juice
- 3/4 oz. spiced syrup (see recipe below)
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- Spiced Syrup:
- 4 cups water
- 20 allspice berries
- 10 whole cloves
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 2 cups sugar
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine water, allspice berries, cloves, and cinnamon.
- Bring to a boil, then simmer for 20 minutes.
- Slowly add sugar, stirring constantly until completely dissolved.
- Remove from heat and let cool.
- Strain the syrup into a bottle and refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
- For the cocktail:
- Combine all ingredients in a shaker with ice.
- Shake to chill.
- Strain into a coupe glass.
