Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons cold chocolate syrup
  • 1/2 cup crushed peppermint candies
  • Ice for shaker
  • 1-2 oz peppermint vodka
  • 1/2 oz coffee liqueur
  • 1 oz freshly brewed espresso, cooled
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup, more or less to taste

Instructions

  1. Place chocolate syrup on a small plate and crushed peppermint candy in a separate small plate.
  2. Dip the rim of the glass into the chocolate syrup, then gently dip the edges of the glass along the crushed candy to cover the rim with crushed candy bits.
  3. Add ice, peppermint vodka, coffee liqueur, espresso, and simple syrup to a cocktail shaker.
  4. Shake vigorously until frothy.
  5. Pour into the prepared cocktail glass swirling the shaker a bit to let out all of the foam.
  6. Serve immediately.
