Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons caster sugar
  • 1/2 pomegranate, seeds removed
  • 1 1/2 oz vodka
  • 1 cup pink grapefruit soda
  • Ice cubes
  • Fresh mint sprig

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, mix the caster sugar with 1 teaspoon of the pomegranate seeds until the sugar turns pink. Discard the seeds.
  2. Moisten the rim of a glass with vodka, then dip the rim into the pomegranate sugar mixture.
  3. In a shaker, combine the vodka, grapefruit soda, and remaining pomegranate seeds. Add ice and shake well.
  4. Strain the mixture into the prepared glass and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
