Ingredients

  • Salt for rimming glass
  • 2 lime wedges, divided
  • 3 cubes ice
  • 4 fl oz sweet-and-sour cocktail mix
  • 1.25 fl oz tequila
  • 0.50 fl oz orange-flavored liqueur (such as Cointreau)
  • 0.50 fl oz brandy (such as Presidente)

Instructions

  1. Pour a 1/4 to 1/2 inch layer of salt onto a small, shallow plate.
  2. Moisten the rim of a margarita glass with 1 lime wedge, then dip the moistened rim into the salt.
  3. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
  4. In a cocktail shaker, combine the cocktail mix, tequila, orange liqueur, and brandy.
  5. Squeeze in the juice from the remaining lime wedge.
  6. Cover the shaker and shake well to combine.
  7. Pour the mixture into the prepared glass.
