Red Velvet Affogato Delight
An indulgent twist on the classic affogato, this Red Velvet Affogato combines the flavors of red velvet cupcakes and Irish cream liqueur with espresso and vanilla ice cream for a luscious and delightful treat.
Ingredients
- 1.50 oz Red Velvet Cupcake Irish cream liqueur, warmed
- 3 oz hot espresso coffee
- 1 red velvet cupcake, icing discarded, halved crossways
- 1 large scoop vanilla ice cream
- 1 red velvet Oreo cookie, crushed
- Strawberry and vanilla rolled wafers, to serve
Instructions
- Warm the Red Velvet Cupcake Irish cream liqueur.
- Brew the espresso coffee.
- Place the halved red velvet cupcake in the base of a serving glass.
- Add a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of the cupcake.
- Pour the warmed Irish cream liqueur and coffee mixture over the ice cream.
- Sprinkle the ice cream with crushed red velvet Oreo cookie.
- Serve the Red Velvet Affogato immediately with strawberry and vanilla rolled wafers.
