Ingredients

  • 1-1 1/2 oz gin (omit for mocktail)
  • 1/2 lime, squeezed
  • 4-6 cucumber slices
  • 1-2 teaspoons sugar (all-natural; optional)
  • 6 mint leaves or 4 basil leaves
  • 4-6 oz tonic water (Indian tonic water)

Instructions

  1. In a Ball jar or cocktail shaker, muddle mint or basil, lime, sugar, and gin to release the oils.
  2. Add cucumber slices and 4-6 ice cubes to the jar, cover tightly, and shake vigorously for 20-30 seconds.
  3. Pour the mixture into a glass, top with ice and your favorite tonic water.
  4. Stir gently, and garnish with a sprig of basil or mint, a slice of cucumber, and a wedge of lime if desired.
