Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • a pinch of nutmeg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup RumChata
  • Cinnamon sticks, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine cinnamon and sugar on a shallow plate to make the cinnamon-sugar rim.
  2. Moisten the rim of the glass with water and dip into the cinnamon sugar, then set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, whisk together egg yolks and sugar. Add milk, nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla, and heat on medium-low for about 10 minutes until the mixture thickens.
  4. Remove from heat, stir in heavy cream and RumChata, and refrigerate until chilled.
  5. When ready to serve, pour into the prepared glass, sprinkle with additional nutmeg, and garnish with cinnamon sticks.
