Ingredients

  • 1 black tea bag
  • 3/4 cup hot water
  • 2 cups ice
  • 1/4 cup cold water
  • 1/3 cup diced peaches
  • 1 tablespoon sugar, plus additional to taste
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/2 - 1 oz whiskey (dependent on glass size and preference)
  • Ice for serving
  • Sliced peach for garnish

Instructions

  1. Steep a black tea bag in hot water for 5 minutes, then remove the tea bag.
  2. Add ice and cold water to the tea.
  3. Blend diced peaches with sugar and lemon juice until smooth. Strain the puree if desired.
  4. Stir the peach puree into the tea and adjust the sweetness with sugar to taste.
  5. Fill a glass 3/4 of the way with ice, add 1/2 - 1 oz of whiskey, and fill the glass with the peach iced tea.
  6. Garnish with a sliced peach and serve.
