Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons malted milk powder
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons dark brown sugar
  • Tiny pinch kosher salt
  • 6 ounces hot black coffee
  • 2 ounces spiced rum
  • 1 tablespoon 2:1 simple syrup
  • Freshly grated nutmeg, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine heavy cream, malted milk powder, brown sugar, and salt. Beat until the cream forms soft peaks.
  2. Preheat a mug, then pour in the hot coffee, spiced rum, and simple syrup.
  3. Using a spoon, add dollops of the prepared whipped cream on top of the coffee.
