Ingredients
- 1 medium orange
- 5 oz. red wine
- 1 1/2 oz. spiced rum
- 1 cinnamon stick
- 1 clove
- 1 star anise pod
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
Instructions
- Slice the orange into rounds, reserving a few slices for garnish.
- In a saucepan, combine the red wine, spiced rum, remaining orange slices, cinnamon stick, clove, star anise, and granulated sugar.
- Gently heat the mixture until just below simmering, around 20 minutes, allowing the flavors to infuse without boiling the wine.
