Ingredients

  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1 tsp ground allspice
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 oz dark or aged rum
  • 6 oz hot water
  • Cinnamon stick, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, blend the butter, vanilla extract, brown sugar, spices, and salt until well combined.
  2. In a heat-proof glass or mug, combine the aged rum with 2 tablespoons of the spiced butter mixture.
  3. Top with hot water and stir until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
