Ingredients

  • 1 to 2 slices of jalapeño
  • 4 oz chopped green apples
  • 2 fresh mint leaves
  • 3 fresh basil leaves
  • 3 oz fresh lime juice
  • 2 tbsp organic simple syrup
  • 2 oz tequila blanco (silver)

Instructions

  1. To make the organic simple syrup, bring 1 cup organic cane sugar and 1 cup water to a boil in a small saucepan, stirring to dissolve sugar. Let the simple syrup cool.
  2. In a cocktail shaker, muddle the jalapeño slices, chopped green apples, mint leaves, and basil leaves.
  3. Add the lime juice, organic simple syrup, and tequila blanco to the shaker.
  4. Fill the shaker with ice, then shake for about 30 seconds.
  5. Strain the mixture into a rocks glass filled with ice and garnish with a jalapeño slice.
