Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz white rum (such as Cruzan)
- 1 oz fresh-squeezed lime juice
- 3/4 oz Pierre Ferrand dry orange curaçao
- 1/2 oz orgeat syrup
- 1/4 oz absinthe or Herbsaint
- 1/2 tsp homemade pumpkin spice mix
- 4 tsp cinnamon
- 2 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tsp ground allspice
- 1 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1 tsp ground dried Sichuan pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground star anise
- Mint sprig, for garnish

Instructions
- Prepare the pumpkin spice mix by combining cinnamon, ginger, allspice, nutmeg, Sichuan pepper, and star anise in a small container.
- In a cocktail shaker, mix the white rum, fresh lime juice, dry orange curaçao, orgeat syrup, absinthe, and homemade pumpkin spice mix. Fill the shaker with ice.
- Shake the mixture until well-chilled, then fine-strain it into a double old-fashioned glass filled with crushed ice.
- Sprinkle a pinch of pumpkin spice on top, garnish with a mint sprig, and serve.
