Spicy Cilantro Cucumber Margarita
A vibrant and herbaceous margarita with a refreshing blend of cucumber, cilantro, lime, and a touch of jalapeño heat.
Ingredients
- 2 oz Persian cucumbers, roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp cilantro leaves and tender stems, roughly chopped
- 1 tbsp granulated sugar
- 1/4 tsp finely grated fresh lime zest
- 2 tbsp fresh lime juice (from about 1/2 lime)
- 1/4 tsp minced jalapeño
- Pinch of sea salt
- 1 1/2 oz white tequila
- Ice
Instructions
- In a blender, blend the cucumbers, cilantro, sugar, lime zest, lime juice, and minced jalapeño until smooth.
- Strain the liquid from the solids using a fine-mesh sieve into a measuring cup, discarding the solids.
- Stir in a pinch of salt and mix the strained cucumber liquid with tequila.
- To serve, rim the glass with salt (optional). Dip the moistened rim of the glass in sea salt and fill the glass with ice.
- Shake the margarita in a cocktail shaker with ice and pour into the prepared glass. Add a slice of jalapeño on top of the ice for an extra kick.
